About, Information, All the Details
Mission: To embolden and encourage introverts in their faith, marriage, friendships and workplace.
Theme: SOLID – Introverts finding solidarity in their solitude.
Guiding Verse: 2 Timothy 2:19 – Nevertheless, the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: ‘The Lord knows those who are His’ and ‘Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from inequity.’
Purpose Statements: Despite humorous memes, introverts aren’t shivering in the corner waiting for extroverts to take over. We can however, struggle to find a suitable outlet for the energy we hoard. Our God-given personalities were intended for His glory, but too often we use introversion as an excuse to snuggle back into our comfort zones.
Many introverts struggle to build collaborative relationships and as a result may not have their feelings and ideas taken as seriously as those with more outgoing voices. They have struggled to understand how to equip themselves socially within the Body of Christ. Rather than exposing their God-given traits, quirks and aptitudes above the surface of their comfort zone, IBCON helps introverts appreciate and leverage them where they are, for service in their work, marriage and friendships.
What People Can Expect from The Introverted Believer Conference:
Have a richer understanding of how to interact as an introvert in a social body of Christ.
Learn how to be heard in the crowd while staying true to who God made them to be.
Learn how to use the Bible to address any issue they face.
Be affirmed in the organized chaos of their mind.
Know that Introversion is not a boundary to break through or a wound to heal, and instead,
Love and appreciate who they are without pride or selfish ambition.
Additionally, Conferees Will Find:
Space, room, and freedom to be themselves. Introverts define themselves in a myriad of ways and The Introverted Believer Conference will support this by presenting an environment rich with solitude, but freedom from exclusion. Belonging at the conferee's pace is one of our goals.
Meaningful workshops following the topics listed in the mission. Presented from and/or respectful of Biblical principles.
Workshops on Journaling, mind mapping, leading projects, conflict resolution, relationships with extroverts, and more.
Contests, games, and lots of swag & giveaways.
